More than
350 friends joined United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk for its annual gala
dinner dance at Flowerfield Celebrations in St. James. They honored Colleen
West Levy, chair, board of directors, founder and president of Enright
Court Reporting.
West Levy expressed her gratitude saying, “I have developed genuine friendships
with many of the program participants and am proud to be able to raise awareness,
increase visibility and generate support for this amazing organization. UCP has
added so much to my life and made me a better person.”
The event also recognized UCP parents Polly and Michael Neyssen and Murray
Winter (posthumously) with the agency’s Life Without Limits Award, acknowledging
decades of support and volunteerism.
The 2009 event was co-chaired by last year’s honorees Bart Marksohn and
Carmen Tomeo of WE Transport/Towne Bus. The evening would not have been possible
without the commitment of presenting sponsor EW Howell Co., Inc. and the large
committee of UCP supporters and friends who helped raise nearly $300,000 and
made the campaign a spectacular success.
