Dear Christine,

I am pleased to extend my personal greetings to you and to all those present at the Fourth Annual Women's Health Awareness Day organized by Suffolk County Women's Services. As we all know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is vital that we all continue to press for greater public attention and awareness to this deadly disease.

Christine, it is through the dedicated efforts of various publications, like Networking Newspaper, that we are making great strides in our battle against breast cancer. As Editor and Publisher of Networking Newspaper, you have done an excellent job reporting on vital breast cancer issues throughout Long Island. Your dedication and devotion is truly an inspiration to all, especially to breast cancer survivors, activists and coalitions throughout Long Island.

Therefore Christine, it is my honor to join in this Women's Health Awareness Day as you receive the 1996 "Suffolk County Community Service Award", please accept my heartiest congratulations and heartfelt best wishes upon receipt of this most prestigious recognition.

While we can all be proud of the victories we have made, they are only the beginning and there is much more work that needs to be done. We owe it to our mothers, our daughters, our sisters and our friends to continue to work together to find a cure. You can all count on my continued unwavering support and I look forward to working together with you all in the battle to find a cure to this deadly disease.
